Land of Odds makes every effort to fill each order to completion, and to keep its catalog listings current. The availability of some items will vary.

The supply and availability of beads is very variable. Please make note of this when you are planning any project! Also MAKE NOTE and REALIZE that the exact color and size of many beads also varies, sometimes considerably, from production lot to production lot. Just because you ordered 100 navy blue oval beads in June, don't assume that when you re-order, that the navy blue color will be exact, or the size will be exact. Also, don't assume that the same color will still be available when you order next -- even with a basic color like 'black". Also in your planning, assume that the variability of size/color/shape in any lot of hand-crafted beads will also have considerable variability. Don't hesitate, when planning a project, or ordering from us, to ask us questions about supply and availability of beads. We'll do our best to find answers and options for you. This may mean having to modify your design plans somewhat, or for us to find an alternative, though sometimes higher cost, supplier. It may also mean buying your key beads or other parts and findings in larger quantities. At Land of Odds, we are all too familiar with the trials, tribulations and joys of jewelry design. We'll work closely with you.

If you are ordering SEVERAL ITEMS WHICH YOU MUST HAVE "ALL OR NONE", then please email or notify us of this fact when you place your order. If you are trying to spell a particular word with letter beads, please let us know. Normally, we ship what is available, and out-of-stock the rest. We do NOT typically call or email about what is unavailable, unless specifically requested to do so.

We cannot be responsible for the color of dyed stones and beads. Much of the dyed, galvanized or metalized finishes on glass beads wear off. If you use these beads for a project, use a fixative spray, like Krylon. You spray the piece when it is finished. You can purchase Krylon in a local art store or or craft store or hardware store. Listed weights and sizes for cast jewelry and beads pieces are approximate.

Listed sizes for hand-made items, such as lampwork beads or bali sterling or vermeil beads and findings, are approximate.

Please be aware that the colors of images you see on your screen may differ from the true colors of any item offered for sale. We do our best to see that there is as little distortion from the true colors as possible, but different browsers and different computer graphics hard- and soft-ware do many different things with colors. Even when switching between Netscape, Internet Explorer and AOL, some colors will vary considerably, some will vary a little, and others won't vary at all.

2024-2025: We are coordinating and integrating inventory from two distribution sites -- Nashville, TN and Boise, ID. Some orders will be split and partially shipped from each location. You, however, will only be charged one shipping cost per order. Please bear with us as we work out all the inefficiencies.

BACKORDERS

We do not automatically backorder out of stock items for you. We would like to fill your orders completely, but it is not always possible to keep every item in stock all the time. When an item is out of stock, we mark that as " O/S " on your order invoice, and adjust the charge on your invoice for this accordingly. If an item is marked out of stock, please re-order it with your next order.

If you ask us to keep something on backorder, we will. All backorders are automatically cancelled if they are more than 30-days old . We ship backorders the most efficient way possible. Regular shipping charges are added to backorders. You are not charged for any backorder until the merchandise is actually shipped. This means that you will see a credit on your credit card for the items we do not have, and then another charge once the backorder is shipped.

· All lamp glass rods used as raw material for production of lamp beads
· All metal plating finishes

2. Examples of products containing lead:
· Glass rods in colors 71000 and 71010 (about 3% of PbO – lead monoxide)
· Lamp bead rods with defined coefficient of expansion (36% of PbO)
· Composition glass lamp bead rods (48% of PbO)

MINIMUM ORDER

Some products may be ordered in packages of 1 piece; others must be ordered in packages of multiple pieces. The number of items in a package is listed as the "Minimum Unit (M.U.). Unless otherwise stated, the Minimum Unit (M.U.) is 1 (one) piece. The M.U. is the smallest number of pieces that must be ordered of any one style or code number. That is, the Minimum Unit is the package size. Products must be ordered in Minimum Units. Thus, if a product has a M.U. of 4 pieces, the customer would order this item in multiples of 4. ORDERING ONLINE WITH LAND OF ODDS IS ABSOLUTELY SECURE:

Some people are concerned about the safety of having their credit card number wiz its way over the Internet. Our experience has been that it is as safe via the net as it is in any transaction. To safeguard your on-line credit card information, Land of Odds utilizes SSL (Secure Socket Layers), the most advanced online ordering security system available. We do not store or keep your credit card information in our files. The billing name and address on your order form should match the billing name and address of the credit card you are using. Credit card orders may be delayed without exact name and address and zip code match, and without CVVS code verification.

PLACING AN ORDER

The On-Line Order Form is the best and fastest way to submit an order. While you may email, telephone or fax your order to us, these methods will slow the fulfillment of the order. When orders are placed with us off-line, a staff person has to replace the order on-line, because the computer generates a lot of information for the staff about fulfilling the order. QUANTITY DISCOUNTS

RETURNS, REFUNDS, & RE-STOCKING FEES

RETURNS: Return Authorization Number required for all returns. You can request this online by going to your Account, or you may call or e-mail us for a RA# before shipping. All returns must be properly packaged, and have a valid RA# prominently written on outside of the box. No returns on any product after 30 days! 25% Re-Stocking Fee charged (on value of items before discounts) when:
- Returns of merchandise, the retail listed price value of which is over $50.00
- Returns of any cut cord or chain (that is, a length that is not a full spool)
- Returns of any merchandise, when the original order was placed by phone, email or fax, rather than on-line.

- Any Unauthorized Return Customers are responsible for return shipping charges. Your satisfaction is guaranteed. You have 30 days to make up your mind. If you are not delighted with your purchase, simply return it:

Where the retail listed price value of the merchandise is less than $50.00, the full merchandise expense will be refunded. Returns of merchandise, the retail listed price value of which is over $50.00, will be subject to a 25% restocking fee. Shipping and related charges are not refundable. Refunds are made as a credit to your credit card. Returns must be authorized and returned freight prepaid. Unauthorized returns will automatically be charged a 25% restocking fee.

SPECIAL ORDERS AND RETURNS: We do not accept returns on Special Orders.

SALES TAX

Retail orders delivered to any address in the State of Tennessee shall be charged the current sales tax rate, as of 3/1/2024, 9.75%.

Retail orders delivered to any address outside the State of Tennessee are not charged Tennessee sales taxes.

Retail orders delivered to any address in the State of Idaho shall be charged the current sales tax rate, as of 5/24/2024, 6.00%.

Retail orders delivered to any address outside the State of Idaho are not charged Idaho sales taxes.

No sales tax is necessary if we have a valid state resale tax permit form on file.

SHIPPING/HANDLING and DELIVERY

HOW WE OPERATE: When an order is received, we try to fill it completely with items in stock. If everything is in stock, the order will ship the next business day. If items are not in stock, we try to get the items from the distributor. This results in a shipping delay of 3-5 business days, before the order is shipped. You can always tell us, by typing in ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS during the Checkout Process, that a partial shipment is OK, such as "ship what we have, cancel the rest" or "ship what we have, and ship the remainder when it comes from the distributor."

Examples of some of the Additional Instructions people email us:
- I need all the items or none
- I need the items by such and such a date
- Please ship through the US Post Office
- I need to know if a particular item is available
- Let me know if the order will not ship right away
- Please ship what you have in stock, and backorder the rest

SHIPPING/HANDLING: Because the package-delivery environment has gotten more and more bizarre, and difficult to keep up with, we have been moving to fixed rate shipping costs. These fixed rates are based on average shipping costs and package sizes within a range of order dollar amounts. They will be close to, but not exactly as, the actual shipping costs for your particular package. As you begin the checkout process, the screen will show you an estimated shipping amount, which in almost every case, will be your shipping/handling charge.

Virtually all domestic and international packages are shipped through the US Postal Service.

Customers may request shipment by other carriers.

If you would like an item shipped to an address different than your billing address, please indicate this when you place your order.

Our standard shipping, for orders less than $20.00, ship USPS first class, and for over $20.00, ship USPS priority mail or USPS ground advantage.

NOTE: Some orders may include items shipped from either of two distribution centers. Should this be the case, you will be notified that your order will arrive in two shipments instead of one. You will not, however, be charged for any additional shipping costs. You will only be charged for the shipping costs of one package.

SPECIALS, SALES, RAINCHECKS

Special and sale prices are in effect for a specified time period, or until that time when products are unavailable. Land of Odds does NOT issue rainchecks for special and sale prices.

UNCLAIMED ORDERS

Unclaimed orders will be charged a 25% restocking fee plus postage/shipping expenses incurred.

UPDATING OR CORRECTING CREDIT CARD INFORMATION

When you confirm your order, your credit card information is actually sent to your bank, rather than to us. We have some limited access to view parts of your credit card information, but not all of it. This process prevents your credit card information from flying around the internet.

When you either need to Update your credit card information, change it to a different credit card number than you used previously, or correct a typo in your credit card information, you will need to do this as a step in the Checkout Process. We are no longer able to do this for you.

First, bring up your shopping cart. At the top of most of our web-pages, there is a link that either says "VIEW CART" or "SHOPPING CART". Click that on.
Review the items in your shopping cart basket.
At the bottom of the screen is a button that says CHECKOUT. Click this on.
Next Screen: A form to fill out your personal information.
First, check the second button on the top, to indicate that you ALREADY have a profile set up. Even if this is your first order with us, you would have had to have set it up previously, if you now need to change your credit card information.
Fill in your email address and password. Skip the PROMO box. Just below this is a box to check to change or update or correct your credit card information. Check this box.
Fill out the rest of the form. Click the CONTINUE CHECKOUT BUTTON.
The next screen that comes up is the form to fill in your credit card information.

The most frequent typos in credit card information are incorrect expiration dates. The next most frequent is a mistyped security code.

WHOLESALE SALES

Land of Odds is a retail store that offers a wholesale discount (30% off listed retail prices) to customers with a valid re-sale or tax number from their state. Land of Odds is not a wholesale distributor. If the computed wholesale price works for you, great. If not, we understand.

Do not confuse Wholesale Prices with Retail Prices.
To view Wholesale Prices, you will first need to log-in to your account. Wholesale Prices are shown next to a crossed-out Retail Price listing. Otherwise, if not logged in, the prices you will see on the screen are only Retail Prices.

Minimum Wholesale Order is $100.00 (total wholesale price). If the amount of the order submitted is less than $100.00 (total wholesale price), the order will not be filled. You will be asked to either increase the size of your order to meet the minimum, or replace your order as a Retail/General Public order.

If, as a WHOLESALE customer, you will be placing both small (under $100.) and regular (over $100.) orders,
you will need to set up two different accounts under two different email address, one for RETAIL/GENERAL PUBLIC and one for WHOLESALE.
If you do not think you will be placing regular wholesale orders (over $100.), then you should set up one account as a RETAIL/GENERAL PUBLIC account.

To purchase Wholesale, you must complete THREE steps:

1. FIRST, you need to Register ("Create an Account") As WHOLESALE Shopper on-line, and include your Resale Number with your registration. Don't Forget To Click On The SUBMIT button at the bottom of the form!

If you are a Wholesale Customer, and want to place an order under $100.00 (total wholesale price), you will need to set up a second account, this time Retaill/General Public, under another email address.

2. SECOND, you need to email Land of Odds, requesting that we activate your Wholesale Account.

Please specify:
Your Name,
Business Name,
URL address if you have your own website or sell on a website like Etsy,
Email Address,
Phone Number,
Resale Number.

3. THIRD, you will need to email (to warren@landofodds.com) or mail (627C S James M Campbell Blvd, #315, Columbia, TN 38401) a copy of your certificate of resale or tax ID.
Customers living in states without sales tax, please send forms--like a vendor's permit-- to show that you have a business and are buying for resale. Contact us if you have questions about this.
International customers need to submit a government-issued, business related number, like a VAT number, tax-id, or business license number.

[Activating your Wholesale Account will take 1 -2 business days after receipt of your certificate of resale or tax ID. Once activated, you will not need to repeat these steps.]

Once your account is activated, whenever you log into your account at www.landofodds.com, you will be able to view the wholesale prices of products you are interested in. Land of Odds will email you when your account has been activated. [NOTE: Until your account is activated, you will only be able to view the retail prices of items.]

By submitting a valid resale or tax number to activate a wholesale account with Land of Odds, the customer agrees that this indicates that the customer certifies that the merchandise purchased on each order we shall give is purchased for either (a) resale as tangible personal property, or resale of a service subject to tax, or, (b) a component part of an article to be produced for sale by manufacturing, assembling, processing, or refining.

NOTE: Regular retail and wholesale store discounts do not apply to kits and instructions, or to class fees.
