SIZE #1

Czech size #1 bugles are 2.5mm (0.098 inches) long and 2.7mm in diameter.   (1 hank, about 2580 beads)

SIZE #2

Czech size #2 bugles are 5.0mm (0.196 inches)  long and 2.7mm in diameter.  (1 hank, about 1290 beads)  

SIZE #3

Czech size #3 bugles are 7.0mm (0.275 inches) long and 2.7mm in diameter.  (1 hank, about 920 beads)  

SIZE #5

Czech size #5 bugles are 11.0mm (0.433 inches) long and 2.7mm in diameter.  (1 hank, about 420 beads)

For now, limited colors of Czech seed and bugles beads on hanks.     Seed beads in size 11/0.    Bugle beads in sizes 1, 2, 3, and 5.    Czech seed and bugle beads vary a lot in diameter, general shape, hole size, roughness of hole.    Their Japanese cousins are very consistent.   If you were doing an ethnic looking piece, with Czech seed and bugle beads, your piece would look handmade.   With Japanese beads, you piece would look machine made.   

NOTE:  Czech Bugle Sizes are different in length and diameter than Japanese Bugle Sizes.  They are not easily interchangeable.

While there is a lot of variation in how hanks get tied up, in general, there will be 12 strings (but sometimes less) approximately 20" each.     NOTE:  The size labels on Czech bugles are different that those on Japanese bugles.   Also, Czech bugles (2.7mm) are thicker in diameter than almost all Japanese bugles (most are 2mm).
