Wire weaving is a set of techniques, similar to basket weaving, where you wrap thin weave wires around thicker base wires to create patterns and textures. You can then use these wire-woven strips to make all kinds of things, such as the framework to turn a cabochon or bead into a pendant, earring dangles, bracelets, bails, and the like.

- preparing the wire before weaving
- shaping our wire weave to fit it around the top third of a stone or crystal shard or a cabochon stone as an end cap
- securing each weave row to the one before it
- turning our woven strip into a pendant bail
The weaves:
2+2 basket weave pattern around 3 base wires
2+2 soumak pattern around 3 base wires
3+3 soumak pattern around 2 base wires
1+2+1+5 soumak pattern around 3 base wires
coiling around 1 base wire
